Fever --Be suspensed-- on 5th August--

This week Niche Film Farm & Jaya Sapthagiri Productions in associaltion with Plus Entertainment & ICM...released official trailer of their upcoming film starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Gauhar khan, Gemma Atkinson, bond girl Caterina Murino, Victor Bannerjee in its lead.

Fever, first of its kind of suspense film- a "Thrillex" an edgy suspense thriller entirely shot in Switzerland. Story of "Armin" played by Rajeev khandelwal...wakes up from an accident with a memory loss...& in search of his "Identity" he gets entagled in series of incidents...confusing himself in three versions of truth. His search of his identity plunges him into a world of deceit, crime, passion and nerve wrecking suspense.

Watching the trailer, guess majority went on ddiscussing & counting no. of kissing & sex scenes in the film...leaving off the "Thrill" aspect in this thrillex....But if watch the trailer analytically...it has much more to offer & trailer seems intriguing & promising enough to be one of good Thrillers.
Dont want to disappoint the audience who looking forward to film just for its bold scenes but I personally feel comparatively there wud be more of "Thrill" than sex in the Thrillex..as trailer is giving enough suspense hints...which begins off with title "Fever" itself--what significance it holds? is it some sort of code...& also the "book" getting a prominance in the poster...also adds on to the suspense.

The biggest suspense of all the "Identity" of "Armin" who actually he is-- "An assassin" or he has some disclosed identity? Is he really suffering from memory loss or he is faking it up to hide his "real identity"...He cud be anything-some sort of spy, undercover cop having some bigger mission to accomplish ala James Bond style [no wonder Armin gets to romance a "Bond girl"] ...If going by his name "Armin" which literally means a "Guardian-Protector" he may be having a hidden agenda to hide his identity...he cud have something to do with army too, as first flash after waking up from accident  he sees the victory gate of France "Arc de Triomphe"

The film seems to be surely the mystery of Armin's identity-but also its about the "true" version of the story... Is Armin actually innocent man, caught in a mousetrap, or "He" trapping other characters of the film...
To add on, there can be the "mystery bag" the curious case of "whats with Armin & his bag?" !! Really wonder if "bag" gonna b something important but when it comes to thrillers...everything associated becomes a "clue" to guess...

Is the "bag" he is hiding, safeguarding something...or Bag is all about money...it can be anything to add on to the suspense.

+++++

The three ladies too, more than just adding sex scenes in the film...they do add to the suspense...so as how exactly they end up being part of Armin's life & out of three who actually turns out to be his friend & enemy-One of them or neither of them...Who ends up being helpful for Armin to find his identity...or he gonna be all "alone" in his search of his Identity.

It will be ultimate suspense to find out who is speaking the truth-- The three ladies or Armin?...giving significance to the tagline of the film-- What if Truth itself is a Lie?

On the whole, Trailer & film looks intriguing enough to be a promising thriller, which can be enjoyed for its suspense & thrill...& ofcourse sex scenes ...
Wishing good luck to whole team of Fever ...
Fever releasing on August 05,2016

Review of film -- Disney Khoobsurat--

Caught Disney Khoobsurat this weekend...& had a nice funtime with family...& starting with honest confession watched it just for Fawad Khan....!! So, no gurantee for me being unbiased in review when it comes to praising the lead actor  :P :P

Khoosburat, just only shares its name & basic premise with the original khoobsurat i.e like original its still a story of a girl entering a well disciplined family run by a strict matriach...apart from this basic concept it doesn't share any similarity with the original whatsoever...infact as a film its more on the typical boy meeting girl & eventually falling in love formula...& its has resemblence with all concepts of Disney fairytale romances....that Girls meet their prince charming, they fall in love & live happily ever after...Film just carry forwards the fairytale romance which we have seen in their characters uptil now as kids...

****
Story wise its not too complicated, a simple love story which eventually has a happy ending like in all fairytales...there are not much twists & turns...& you come out with a smile on your face...it seems like you watched a fairytale on screen...

In terms of acting actors suit their particular characters & look apt choices, be it the Raja, RaniSa, prince everyone
Except for female lead Sonam, at certain places she seemed to be going over the top, (Its was my first experience of watching her film wonder if she happens to be same in all her films :/)
Even  the character of Mili, it was not necessary to conceptualize as too loud or too clumsy...writers cud have kept it subtle also....after certain point of time Mili's clumsiness, she getting too loud & dramatic, she falling again & again  was getting repetitive & boring... it cud have done away with it....& there cud have been more scenes which presenting sensitive & caring side of Mili...

Coming to the main reason for me watch the film Fawad Khan, he just has been amazing & looked every bit of prince charming Vikram Rathore, not only appearance wise but as a character he suited to personality of a Prince, A special mention for his voice diction he looked so fluent & perfect whenever he spoke... wud have loved to see him getting more of screen space... comparatively because Mili had been a loud character, Prince looked too subtle & soft....wud have loved him to be more strong, & Khadoos... :P :P :P but inspite of everything he made his presence felt ....& Loved watching him onscreen... & he was his best after Interval, the emotional turmoil, the confusion, his acceptance/refusal of his feeling towards Mili ...emoting in such scenes is his forte...& He did his best as was expected from him :)

Hope its not a spoiler, but last 5mins of Viku's proposal to Mili & after that his short scene with Manju was best thing to watch ... "Seedhe haan karti ho yaha bhaga kar lejau..." It was fun to see all sophisticated prince to break into more local language *ROFL*
His transition from Hum to Main *ROFL*

********

Overall wud give 2 out of 5 but a +1 for Fawad :)  overall 3 out of 5, one time watch movie just for fun... :) & nice time...

Hoping to see Fawad, soon in some other project...
All the best to Him :)

My Reviews- Samrat & Co--Engaging...Worth a watch!!

First things first, when u go to watch Samrat &Co dont go with a comparative state of mind that you gonna watch Desi Sherlock, or Indian Benedict Cumberbatch...because if you will deliberately try to find someone else in Samrat it will not only be unfair but disappointing also as  it will kill the whole idea & fun of watching a suspense film.

So for all those who have seen & read Sherlock holmes (like me) comparisons are inevitable because  the mere mention of word detective is synonymous with Sherlock holmes....but you wud not enjoy the film if you watch Samrat & Co with an intention of comparing scene to scene , frame to frame, dialogue to dialogue... so my advice is before watching Samrat&Co keep all detective references back home... & welcome & meet Samrat as a new detective, an addition to the whole list of Detectives we have known till now, & film Samrat &Co.... as any other new suspense film..trust me, you will enjoy the film more...

Initially when the case actually started off I also was comparing but gradually kept comparisons aside & focussed on the case as it engages you eventually & you start solving case alongwith Samrat, you start making your own assumptions who is criminal who is not, who is positive or negative !!
Film as a whole has been good...it sticks to its genre,  efforts of writer & director shud be appreciated they managed to keep the intrest & Mystery level intact till the end (It kept me guessing till the end) & everytime u think Samrat has solved the case...it just takes a twist & u get surprised...& dats the basic requirement for any suspense thriller...& must say Samrat&Co fulfills it...

A special mention for the dialogues some have turned out really good... like
"Pyaar aur war mein sab fair hota hai kyunki dono mein second prize nahi hota"..."aadmi woh nahi hota jo woh dikhata hai...aadmi woh hota hai jo woh chupata hai"

CD & Samrat's camaraderie is something to watch out... CD manages to crack u up at many places...

Though I personally felt there were certain things which director cud have done away with...for instance he cud have reduced number of suspects b'coz if you loose the track of story,  somewhere admist of so many characters it tends to get confusing (I did got confused) but guess to keep the mystery more gripping it was required :)  Also, putting in romantic angle for Samrat-Dimpy wasn't required since it was there we watched, if it wudn't have been there it wudn't have made much of difference...& thankfully it wasn't dragged much... :) :)
Since as a audience the main focus remains on the case Samrat needs to solve so,like any other suspense film it didn't have much scope for music, except for the background music, & Ofcourse "Sawalon mein", it was wonderful...wud have loved to hear more of it ....Song in itself has a mysterious & chilling feel to it...

As a character Samrat is very much of a detective,  intelligent, smart, & a very keen observer...not even a minute details escapes his eye... just a glance & he will know your past present & future... Best thing about Samrat is director & creatives have not made him a filmy & heroic kind of character... even in the opening fight sequence more than muscle power it was all about brains coz physically Samrat was no where in competition with the fighter (Though the whole shot was a proper fangirl moment for me ^_^ ) Samrat solved the case more with brains....& with his instincts oops sorry (tcchhh) seventh sense!! ...

Rajeev as samrat pulls off to manage Samrat convincingly enough...& practically carries film on himself inspite of presence of other characters who make their presence felt....As Samrat Rajeev makes you beleive in him as a detective & as a Rajeevkhandelwal fan its gonna be a treat to watch him...

Overall wud give 3 out of 5...(tried to be as unbiased & non-comparative as possible) you wud enjoy the film if you watch it with open mind...Dont watch it just for the heck of comparison or to rip the film apart & trash the film.... instead the efforts of writer, director, actors, production house to come up with something like this should be appreciated... The whole team deserves praise for introducing us to a new private investigator, I dont think hindi films has any detective film in past many years... atleast I have not seen it...

Once again Welcome the new detective "Samrat"

---My Reviews ---(Table No.21) -Review

Should I start with obvious statement that I LOVED the film…coz as a Rajeev fan its gonna be an obvious reaction… Table no.21, a film with strong content & script & equal amount of thrill.
Film takes you through game journey of married couple Vivaan(Rajeev khandelwal) & Siya (Tena desae) who are on vacation in b’ful pristine Fiji Islands,  they get to play a game of Truth & Dare for whooping 10 million Fijian dollars ala 21 crores…but don’t think …that is what makes the title “21”… its not as simple as it sounds…coz the biggest catch is only lifeline to game is nothing but “Truth”…

As a audience you will njoy the film if you like watching edge on your seat thrillers. With every frame you will be curious & intrigued to know what next task is in store for the couple & what gonna be Mr.Khan’s next question….& whether Vivaan-Sia will be able to fulfill the given tasks. You will enjoy the game…& will be involved in the game throughout.

As the film will progress the real faces, different layers, truths of characters will come out…which will change your original perceptions of the characters…Vivaan as a character is not someone you will love. ..you may love him till interval or you may love him as Siya’s husband…but as a person, as  a character I leave it to his individual fans.

I still remember the first review of the film’s trailer was “Paresh Rawal will make you hate him & Rajeev will make you fall in love with him” but now I wud like to add “Vivaan will make you hate him too”. Theatrical Trailer

From very beginning, throughout promotions, even the buzz around Table no.21 & a general perception was film has one hero (Vivaan), one heroine (Siya) & one villain (Mr.khan)  but after watching film guess the perception will change.  Till interval if u hate Mr.khan for putting Vivaan –Sia through all the adversities & weird tasks…by the time you reach climax guess you wud be the one supporting Mr.khan…because he was nowhere wrong…coming out of theatre somewhere a thot may strike you that Vivaan-Sia deserved it…for what all they did…Mr.Khan may have been harsh on the couple but his actions are justified through flashbacks.

Performance wise it goes without saying Rajeev-Paresh Sir take the cake…they were perfect for their characters, infact Rajeev will surely surprise as Vivaan, not because he is gone negative for first time…we have seen tinge of negative as Sujal also where inspite of knowing he was wrong we still loved him, but Vivaan surely went too far & what all he did is something not acceptable….I never imagined I wud hate any of characters played by Rajeev…& that itself proves the acting caliber of Rajeev…coz Vivaan is meant not to be loved.  Infact, Vivaan needed an actor like Rajeev khandelwal who cud potray the various emotions & various layers of Vivaan….He will really surprise u for sure coz with kind of image he has you wud have not imagined him to do the things he did on screen…he literally went too far & extreme…also Vivaan needed an actor who gives competition to Mr.khan.

So Hats Off to Rajeev ...& I cant imagine any other actor cud have played Vivaan better than him….he has been perfect choice as Vivaan.

Also, cant take credit away from Tena she did a fair job & made her presence amongst Rajeev & Paresh Sir…a special mention for Dhruv…I never thot in a Rajeev’s film apart from him any1 else can make me emotional…but Dhruv was good in his short role.

Frankly I was apprehensive abt the direction…after WYMM experience from Aditya…but he managed to pull off the film well … certain scenes got dragged but that’s ok small mistakes can be forgiven…The so talked abt “intimate scenes” cud have been edited…it was not much required…but yes Kiss surely was :P :P

Movie had started like a fairytale…with so much in love couple Vivaan Siya, enjoying a free trip, My first impression was Vivaan is so like Rajeev :P principled & hardworking “khushi mehnat se mile toh maza hi kuch aur hai”… forgot the full dialogue…but boy how my perception changed later.

Initial tasks given by Mr.khan were easy & enjoyable too…specially the manipulation one…dat was surely a smart one…& its related Flashback scene was surprising never knew Rajeev will be able to pull that off (whole dialogue was so double meaning)…it was really mean of him & from there on I had thot Bobby was related to Mr.khan… & One task I hated was the blood one it was surely heart wrenching one…& there on tasks went on more devilish.

Overall film was a good effort, strong in content,  & for all those people & critics who said this is inspired by this movie, dat movie, so an so Hollywood film…I can say because I haven’t seen any of them so for me personally it was as new, fresh as first time…coz I didn’t knew anything abt all the films dat have been said to be inspired Table no.21…. & “to know that u don’t know is very important” So I thoroughly enjoyed the film & I don’t care even if it was inspired by any English or hindi film.

Can say in Mr.khan’s style “I am impressed Rajeev” with the choice of film…out of 5 I wud give 4 coz I felt film had its own loopholes specifically the ragging scenes went too far & it was disturbing & upsetting to watch…also the intimate scenes cud have been done away with…

Film comes out with a good message… & I wud advise younger generation to watch it instead of watching the dhinchak masala kind of flicks…infact, colleges, Universities should also make their senior students watch this one…

Table no.21 is a strongly recommended film, a must-watch,  you wud enjoy watching it & will come out satisfied that yes u watched something worthwile…Surely a one time watch (coz second time you wud be knowing wat wud happen next) …but if u want to watch you are more than welcome….Irrespective of fact whether you are a Rajeev khandelwal fan or not, coz if u are then it’s a treat for u to watch him…& if u are not his fan then after watching you wud surely be one…
