Caught Disney Khoobsurat this weekend...& had a nice funtime with family...& starting with honest confession watched it just for Fawad Khan....!! So, no gurantee for me being unbiased in review when it comes to praising the lead actor :P :P
Khoosburat, just only shares its name & basic premise with the original khoobsurat i.e like original its still a story of a girl entering a well disciplined family run by a strict matriach...apart from this basic concept it doesn't share any similarity with the original whatsoever...infact as a film its more on the typical boy meeting girl & eventually falling in love formula...& its has resemblence with all concepts of Disney fairytale romances....that Girls meet their prince charming, they fall in love & live happily ever after...Film just carry forwards the fairytale romance which we have seen in their characters uptil now as kids...
****
Story wise its not too complicated, a simple love story which eventually has a happy ending like in all fairytales...there are not much twists & turns...& you come out with a smile on your face...it seems like you watched a fairytale on screen...

In terms of acting actors suit their particular characters & look apt choices, be it the Raja, RaniSa, prince everyone
Except for female lead Sonam, at certain places she seemed to be going over the top, (Its was my first experience of watching her film wonder if she happens to be same in all her films :/)
Even the character of Mili, it was not necessary to conceptualize as too loud or too clumsy...writers cud have kept it subtle also....after certain point of time Mili's clumsiness, she getting too loud & dramatic, she falling again & again was getting repetitive & boring... it cud have done away with it....& there cud have been more scenes which presenting sensitive & caring side of Mili...

Coming to the main reason for me watch the film Fawad Khan, he just has been amazing & looked every bit of prince charming Vikram Rathore, not only appearance wise but as a character he suited to personality of a Prince, A special mention for his voice diction he looked so fluent & perfect whenever he spoke... wud have loved to see him getting more of screen space... comparatively because Mili had been a loud character, Prince looked too subtle & soft....wud have loved him to be more strong, & Khadoos... :P :P :P but inspite of everything he made his presence felt ....& Loved watching him onscreen... & he was his best after Interval, the emotional turmoil, the confusion, his acceptance/refusal of his feeling towards Mili ...emoting in such scenes is his forte...& He did his best as was expected from him :)
Hope its not a spoiler, but last 5mins of Viku's proposal to Mili & after that his short scene with Manju was best thing to watch ... "Seedhe haan karti ho yaha bhaga kar lejau..." It was fun to see all sophisticated prince to break into more local language *ROFL*
His transition from Hum to Main *ROFL*
